The Lord gives and He takes away
He builds up and tears down
He established and destroys
wherever man is found

as His sovereignty is displayed
man fears what God can do
one is helpless to run his course
without this God of truth
____
if God should bless one with riches
it’s good to be so blessed
found worthy in all faithfulness
a steward of His test
____
by using the resources gained
the work for God moves on
forward in greater capacity
with faith to stand upon
____
for in the resources man has
guided by His Spirit
God accomplishes earthly will
through servants who will do it
____
and by this wealth the Lord requires
a greater responsibility
as wealth and power go hand in hand
increases accountability
____
thus money is never evil
it’s worthy in some hands
when overshadowed by the Lord
and spent where He commands
